I have a mystery story in Short Circuit #1

Howdy readers and friends. I’m thrilled to announce that my mystery short story Truth, Justice, and the American Way is now published in Short Circuit, issue 1, part of the fine family of publications published by Short Edition (which should have an accent mark but I can’t figure out how to get it in), and Rendezvous. It’s online here. It will also be available in the short story dispensers that they have all over the United States, Canada, and in places like Paris, and Hong Kong. Personally I love the idea of these, and you can find out about the dispensers here. Perhaps there’s one near you.

I feel a post like this needs a visual, and there’s no cover with the publication, so please enjoy this public domain image by Hans Vivek of a diner. The story takes place in one.

I have a new story in Flash Fiction Online

Flash Fiction Online January 2020 cover

I am very pleased to announce that I have a story in the current issue of Flash Fiction Online. Although I have lots of poetry published, this is my first professional fiction sale, so it feels like a great way to start the decade. It’s also wonderful for this milestone to be in a publication I love to read. You can find the story here. I hope you enjoy it, and watch this space for future announcements! I have lots more writing to do.

Typehouse Literary Magazine published my poem

Typehouse Literary Magazine, Issue 18

I’m proud to have a poem in the latest issue of Typehouse Literary Magazine, a cool publication from Portland, Oregon. The issue has lots of art, poetry, and fiction. Follow the link to check it out, where you can download it for free, or purchase copies for yourself and others. You know you want to support independent publications that support writers and artists, and you know you want to see what happens when Mary Poppins loses it. No one can be all sweetness and light all the time, right?

Where did all the blogs go? Why isn’t there more content?

One of my favorite Latin mottos on a manhole cover right here in Seattle

Hi there, friendly reader. If you’ve followed me for a while, you may have been a reader of my various blogs including the haiku website Haiku Plate Special, the art site That’s What She Sketched, and the positivity blog Yay! Pigeons, amongst others. I decided I didn’t want to keep them up as I’m not updating them, but fear not. I plan to publish some of that content again in other ways. Stay Tuned! Also, as I’m revamping the website I haven’t been publishing about all my publications all along. I may come back and add them, or I may not. If you have any questions, just ask.
